Your job as Associate Director, Ethics & Compliance
At Astellas we have set up a new Ethics & Compliance program. As an Associate Director, Ethics & Compliance, you will be assisting the Head of Ethics & Compliance from the Astellas-companies and departments, based in Leiden, the Netherlands. Within this new department at Astellas, you will assist the development of Ethics & Compliance procedure within the Leiden Research & Development department, Astellas Pharma The Netherlands and the European manufacturing facilities (Meppel, Kerry, Dublin). You will be responsible for effective leadership of enhancing compliance culture locally, including accountability and consequences for non-compliance. You will show effective leadership of Ethics & Compliance locally, to ensure the business units maintain an effective compliance program. Astellas is working on a global compliance standard, so you will implement this effectively within the local organization. To achieve this, you will be involved in strategic planning, effective communication, training and monitoring policies.
Your personal qualifications as an Associate Director, Ethics & Compliance
- At least an advanced degree in law, business administration, corporate governance, compliance or other related fields;
- Substantive knowledge and experience with compliance with law, regulations and industry codes relevant to the pharmaceutical industry;
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural regional and global environment;
- Fluent and strong drafting and communication skills in English and Dutch (written and verbal).
As an Associate Director, Ethics & Compliance, you have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret rules and guidelines, and ability to conceptualize policies, procedures and controls. You have the ability to work in a multi-cultural regional and global environment. You can be persuasive in convincing other people's point of view. You also have the ability to demonstrate sound and independent judgment, prudence and maturity in complex and sensitive cases. Furthermore, you have a strong commitment to integrity and professionalism and a commitment to excellence. Next to that you have the ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work.
